Out of a post-industrial chasm emerged Star Union Spirits, champion of entrepreneurial reinvention in the form of artisanal, small-batch distillery.
Established in 2016 in Peru, Illinois and operating out of the historic Westclox factory, Star Union Spirits is inventive in that can-do Midwestern way, reinvigorating the art of specialty craft spirits.
Our passion for what we are doing is infectious and we don’t mind sharing that passion for making great spirits, enjoying great music, supporting great arts or painstakingly refurbishing old typewriters, jewelry cases, buildings.
The American Craft Spirits Association (“ASCA”) awards four Silver Medals and one Bronze Medal to Star Union Spirits in its Annual Craft Spirits Competition.

This was once home to The United Clock Company of Peru and eventually becoming Western Clock Co., a company that prided itself on innovation and quality.
While Bob and Jeff were looking for places for Star Union Spirits they were drawn to the building’s history and ties to the community. Sharing the same desire for producing quality and innovation, they began renovation and development of the area’s only distillery.
